Cluster Network Name Fails to Come Online

Another important article sharing with you about "CNO is in a failed state" - "1207" - "Cluster Network Name Fails to Come Online" - "Cluster network name resource 'Cluster Name' cannot be brought online", "Unable to get Computer Object using GUID"

Below are listed very important articles on a typical cluster down (production stop case): CNO can't be brought online, is in a "failed" state.

As this is a Cluster Core Resource (NOT to confuse with Cluster Core installation or Core technology), the Cluster itself won't be working at all, which makes such problems a thematic in Severity A / Production down cases, requiring a fast approach.

Here is the information, how to process such a problem:

Why is the CNO in a Failed State?

Cluster network name resource 'Cluster Name' cannot be brought online, Unable to get Computer Object using GUID

Recovering a Deleted Cluster Name Object (CNO) in a Windows Server 2008 Failover Cluster

Network Name resource fails to come online in a Windows Server 2008 R2 Failover Cluster

Microsoft Windows Server 2008 - Cluster Network Name Fails to Come Online, Event ID 1207

NOTE: For most of the cases this can be used with any flavour of OS: 2008/R2/2012/R2 and 2016 Server if it is not explicitly set for the specific OS/distro.

Hopefully this blog post is helpful for you dealing with such problems / issues.
